There are plenty of swimming opportunities in the Dordogne region. There exist many public swimming pools and the Dordogne and Vézère rivers are fantastic for swimming and playing in the water. But we dare to that declare that our swimming lake beats them all in swimming enjoyment.

The lake is fed by a natural water springs nearby. That way, the water is continuously refreshed and remains nicely cool at all times. During the summer of 2003 it was so hot that even the local swimming pool and rivers became too warm. But our swimming lake remained almost as cool as normal, as the water comes from an underground source.

Small fishes are living in our lake as well and at its borders you will find naturally growing reeds, lotus, reed mace, marsh marigold and a lot more.

For children the lake is an ideal meeting place. They swim, jump and navigate small inflatable boats and other floating objects. Near the border there is sufficient shallow water where the smaller children can stand. Parents should however provide them with swimming belts because at the centre the lake is 3 meters deep. For parents supervising their children's swimming, we have created a terrace in the shade nearby. For sporting parents, swimming a few rounds of the lake is already quite a challenge since it has a diameter of about 50 m.
